Before you start
- The automation editor only opens on a computer.
- The Follows your account? step only works after the person taps a button or quick reply that continues the automation.
Step by step

Add the step after a tap
In the editor, select the + on the path of a button or quick reply and choose Follows your account?. The step appears with two paths: Follows and Does not follow.

Set up the Follows path
On the Follows path, add a Send message step with what the person asked for. People who follow the account get that message.

Set up the Does not follow path
On the Does not follow path, add Send message asking them to follow the account. Give it a Continues the automation button, for example "I follow now". People who do not follow get the request and the button.

Check again after the tap
Connect the path of the "I follow now" button back to the Follows your account? step. When the person taps the button, ProleadSync checks again whether they follow the account.

Activate the automation
Select Activate, or Apply changes if the automation was already active. The automation checks whether the person follows the account on every run.
If something does not work as expected
The run stopped at Follows your account?.
Instagram did not allow the check. The run stops at that step and History shows "Could not confirm whether the person follows the account". It is never treated as Does not follow.
You see "A step can only go back to an earlier step through a button that continues the automation".
Remove the connection that goes back without a button and connect it from a button path instead.
I cannot see whether the person follows the account on their contact record.
The result is only used for the automation decision and is not stored on the contact.
